A nivel nacional, los maestros gastan entre $500 y $750 de sus propios fondos para las necesidades en su sal\u00f3n de clases. Esto es especialmente desafiante para nuestros maestros debido a los altos costos de vivienda en el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Santa B\u00e1rbara. El Programa de Becas para Maestros de SBEF env\u00eda sus donaciones directamente a los salones de clases para respaldar las solicitudes de los maestros.<\/p>\n<p>Gracias a donantes como usted, SBEF ha respaldado subvenciones iniciadas por maestros por un total de $685,000 desde 2018. Dej\u00f3 una larga lista de victorias al traer fondos y programas muy necesarios a las escuelas de Santa B\u00e1rbara. Uno de los logros m\u00e1s duraderos de Margie fue priorizar la educaci\u00f3n musical en los grados K-6 y crear programas de enriquecimiento en las escuelas secundarias y preparatorias para apoyar a los m\u00fasicos emergentes. Hoy, el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Santa B\u00e1rbara es uno de los pocos distritos en California donde los estudiantes de los grados K-6 reciben una lecci\u00f3n de 30 a 45 minutos cada semana con un maestro de m\u00fasica acreditado con un plan de estudios que se alinea con los Est\u00e1ndares de California para las Artes Visuales y Esc\u00e9nicas. La educaci\u00f3n musical sigue siendo una prioridad principal en SBEF gracias a Margie.<\/p>\n<p>Los donantes de SBEF apoyan anualmente programas como Keep the Beat y Bravo!
