Creemos que la falta de herramientas de ense\u00f1anza creativas y suministros b\u00e1sicos no deber\u00eda impedirles hacer su trabajo. A nivel nacional, los maestros gastan entre $500 y $750 de sus propios fondos para las necesidades en su sal\u00f3n de clases. Esto es especialmente desafiante para nuestros maestros debido a los altos costos de vivienda en el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Santa B\u00e1rbara. El Programa de Becas para Maestros de SBEF env\u00eda sus donaciones directamente a los salones de clases para respaldar las solicitudes de los maestros.<\/p>\n

Gracias a donantes como usted, SBEF ha respaldado subvenciones iniciadas por maestros por un total de $685,000 desde 2018. Estas subvenciones financian herramientas y suministros de ense\u00f1anza actualizados, bibliotecas para las aulas y capital inicial para nuevos proyectos y excursiones escolares que se necesitan de manera cr\u00edtica.<\/p>\n

Fondo Margie Yahyavi para la Excelencia en la Educaci\u00f3n Musica\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

Perdimos a una de las mayores defensoras de la educaci\u00f3n de nuestra comunidad cuando Margie Yahyavi, nuestra ex directora ejecutiva de SBEF (2009-2022), falleci\u00f3 en 2024. Dej\u00f3 una larga lista de victorias al traer fondos y programas muy necesarios a las escuelas de Santa B\u00e1rbara. Uno de los logros m\u00e1s duraderos de Margie fue priorizar la educaci\u00f3n musical en los grados K-6 y crear programas de enriquecimiento en las escuelas secundarias y preparatorias para apoyar a los m\u00fasicos emergentes. Hoy, el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Santa B\u00e1rbara es uno de los pocos distritos en California donde los estudiantes de los grados K-6 reciben una lecci\u00f3n de 30 a 45 minutos cada semana con un maestro de m\u00fasica acreditado con un plan de estudios que se alinea con los Est\u00e1ndares de California para las Artes Visuales y Esc\u00e9nicas. La educaci\u00f3n musical sigue siendo una prioridad principal en SBEF gracias a Margie.<\/p>\n

Los donantes de SBEF apoyan anualmente programas como Keep the Beat y Bravo! Ahora tenemos una Beca para Maestros dedicada exclusivamente a fomentar la educaci\u00f3n musical de alta calidad.<\/p>\n

Creado con el apoyo de su familia y donantes dedicados, el Fondo Margie Yahyavi para la Excelencia en la Educaci\u00f3n Musical contin\u00faa su legado.<\/p>\n

Los maestros y maestras ahora pueden solicitar fondos espec\u00edficos para apoyar la programaci\u00f3n creativa y cultural que promueva la participaci\u00f3n y la colaboraci\u00f3n de los estudiantes en el sal\u00f3n de clases y la comunidad y que fomente conciertos, talleres y otros eventos musicales para estudiantes.<\/h3>\n

Los presupuestos escolares nunca financiar\u00e1n por completo las necesidades de los profesores de m\u00fasica inspirados y de los estudiantes a los que sirven. El Fondo Margie Yahyavi para la Excelencia en la Educaci\u00f3n Musical se dedica a garantizar que los profesores de m\u00fasica puedan solicitar una financiaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica para la m\u00fasica que les ayude a llevar su trabajo (y a sus estudiantes) al siguiente nivel.. <\/span><\/h3>\n
