Sound Waves: Music and Movement Camp

At Sound Waves Music and Movement Camp, students will participate in singing, improvising, moving and making music in a child-centered, creative ways.  Based on the Orff-Schulwerk method, this is a hands-on music learning pedagogy in which students engage with music and each other in playful, yet artful experiences. Director Liz Caruso shares “students learn music like they acquire language. During their formative years they benefit immensely from experiences in experimental music making and exploration. These foundational skills transfer directly to learning to play instruments when they are older.”
